Plastic Crushing Machine

Recycling and Environmental Sustainability

Plastic Crushing Machine

Plastic crushing machine is an industrial equipment used to separate plastic waste into smaller pieces (granules or flakes). It constitutes one of the most important and first steps of the recycling process.

Recycling Preparation: These crushed small pieces become ready to be used in the subsequent stages of recycling such as melting, extrusion (granulation) and new product production.

Environmental Sustainability: Prevents plastic waste from going to landfills and helps conserve resources.

Main Machine Types: Single Shaft Shredders - typically used for pre-shredding larger and thicker materials. Dual/Multi-Shaft Shredders - shred material by rotating two or more shafts toward each other. Granulator - converts material into smaller, homogeneous granules thanks to high-speed blades.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions and answers about Plastic Crushing Machine

What plastic types can a plastic crushing machine process?+
It can process injection runners, production waste, film and profile-shaped waste of thermoplastics such as PP, PE, PVC, ABS, PS, PA, PET. Some models also work effectively with dense plastics such as HDPE, LDPE.
What is the hourly capacity?+
Models with capacities ranging from 50 kg to 2000 kg per hour are available depending on the model and plastic type. A model with appropriate capacity is selected according to your production line requirements.
When should blades be replaced?+
Blade life depends on the hardness of the processed material and intensity of use. Sharpening after an average of 600-1000 operating hours and replacement after 3000-5000 hours is recommended. Sharp blades reduce energy consumption and noise.
Can the crushed plastic particle size be adjusted?+
Yes, different particle sizes between 3 mm and 20 mm can be achieved thanks to the replaceable sieve system. Size selection is made according to the process in which the crushed material will be used.
What is the noise level and is there sound insulation?+
Standard models produce noise between 75-90 dB(A). Botex System offers acoustic cabinet and sound insulation panel options for noisy crushers. This option is especially important for in-factory use.
