Aluminum Silo is an industrial tank used for storing bulk materials in powder or granule form in large volumes and hygienic conditions, especially in plastic raw material, food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.

Lightness: Being much lighter than steel makes the transportation and site assembly of especially large-capacity silos easier and faster. It may also require a lighter foundation structure.

Corrosion Resistance: Aluminum naturally has high corrosion (rust) resistance. This provides long life and low maintenance costs especially in outdoor installations, in humid or chemical vapor-containing environments.

Hygiene and Cleanliness: Easy to clean thanks to its smooth inner surface and stainless structure. Minimizes the risk of contamination in the food and plastics sectors (especially in facilities with frequent color changes). Heat Conductivity: Aluminum being a good heat conductor can help maintain the temperature balance of the material in some applications.

Why is an aluminium silo preferred?+
Aluminium silos offer long-lasting use with their rust-proof, lightweight and corrosion-resistant structure. Being lighter compared to stainless steel makes installation easier and they are safely used in food and pharmaceutical sectors.
How much weight can an aluminium silo withstand?+
Our aluminium silos, manufactured with structural calculations, have load capacities proportional to their contents and volumes. Standard models are calculated to withstand 2 to 30 tonnes of fill.
Is it suitable for outdoor use?+
The natural oxide layer of aluminium silos provides UV and rain resistance. They are made outdoor-compatible by adding special sealing, roof cover and grounding systems for external use.
Is it easy to clean the inside of an aluminium silo?+
Smooth interior surface and removable bottom cone design facilitate cleaning. After the silo interior is completely emptied during material change, it can be cleaned with standard methods; no special chemicals are required.
Which silo is most suitable for plastic granules?+
Aluminium or galvanised steel silos are generally preferred for plastic granules. A closed top cover and humidity sensor are recommended to prevent the granule from absorbing moisture. Botex System determines the most suitable silo type according to your needs.
